Officer Shane Butler began his law enforcement career in 2018 after graduating from the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy. Since joining the force, Officer Butler has demonstrated a strong commitment to public safety and community service.

He serves alongside his K9 partner, “Dona,” a highly trained police dog specializing in narcotics detection and patrol operations. Together, Officer Butler and K9 Dona have been instrumental in numerous investigations—leading to multiple arrests, the removal of significant quantities of illegal narcotics from the streets, the recovery of stolen property, and the seizure of substantial amounts of U.S. currency.

Their teamwork and dedication have earned them recognition not only within their department but also among partnering state and federal agencies. Officer Butler and K9 Dona continue to play a vital role in the ongoing effort to combat illegal drug activity and maintain the safety and well-being of their community.
